Going back to October 20, 1967 – the first ever CMA awards ceremony was held in Nashville, Entertainer of the Year went to Eddy Arnold and Loretta Lynn won Female Vocalist of the Year

Loretta was best known for her songs “You Aint Woman Enough” “Fist City” and this song, “Coal Miners Daughter”

Loretta would later become the first woman to win CMA's Entertainer of the Year in1972
