Alan Jackson originally recorded this song solo, but his team thought Jimmy Buffett’s vocals would add the perfect “tropical vibe,” so Jimmy agreed to do his part in just one take
We all know the saying “it’s 5 o’clock somewhere,” and it’s become one of the most popular sayings of today
"Five O’clock Somewhere" won CMA Vocal Event of the Year, the Academy of Country Music Award for Single of the Year, and was named the #3 country song of the decade in the 2000s by Billboard
