Meet Austin Harris

Austin is no stranger to radio or Hurley’s Entertainment, having served in a variety of capacities during his nearly 10 year relationship with the industry. While until 2008 most of his professional career had been spent working in the Financial Industry, Austin has also moonlighted in radio over the years. In what started as a part-time weekend gig for sister station Z.99, which later developed into to his own weekly music program, “The Saturday Night Rock Show” which he served as Executive Producer and Host, to what has now become, Host of one of Cayman’s most talked about and listened to Morning Talk Shows, Cayman Crosstalk on Rooster 101, Austin has become an integral part of Hurley’s Entertainment and some say, “The Voice of Cayman”.

Described as a workaholic, Austin believes that a little hard work does go a long way and together with his co-host, Gilbert McLean, he strives daily to keep Cayman informed, educated and enlightened on the issues that affect the lives of all those who call Cayman home. Cayman Crosstalk regularly features discussions with Cabinet Ministers and Members of Government, Representatives of HM the Queen & The Crown, Leaders in Business, while also presenting regular special segments, featuring prominent Leaders in Society, on issues relating to topical current events. 

When not at work, he is a devoted father to his 5 year old son, who Austin describes as “the center of his universe.”
